Baakki
A simple expense tracker that audits and resets itself every month — spend, audit, reset.
Captured from the live site.
Overview
Baakki (“balance” in Malayalam) is a pocket ledger for everyday spending. Type “chai 20” or “auto 60 yesterday” and it logs the entry; set budgets and category limits, review the month, then start fresh. It installs like an app and works offline.
The problem
Most expense apps ask for too much setup, so people stop logging after a week and never see where the money went.
The solution
A fast, installable web app where adding an expense takes seconds. A note parser reads whole entries, the month resets automatically, and data stays on the device with optional sign-in backup.
Key features
- Natural-language entry (“chai 20”)
- Categories, quick tags and monthly ledger
- Budgets and per-category limits
- Monthly review and automatic reset
- Installable, works fully offline
- Add-expense shortcut and share target
